Gotchas
- 3 domains per phone / 30 days
No more than 3 .pp.ua domains can be registered against a single phone number within any 30-day period; only 3 SMS activation codes are sent per phone per month.
- Phone verification required
Each domain must be activated with an SMS code (or via the @ppuabot Telegram bot) tied to a valid, active phone number — used to block automated cybersquatter registrations.
- 1-year delegation, manual yearly renewal
Domains are delegated for 1 year at a time. Renewal is free but must be done manually, no earlier than 60 days before expiry; lapse triggers a 28-day priority renewal grace period.
- No WHOIS privacy
Per zone regulations, the registrant's contact details are always public and the data-hiding/privacy function is unavailable.
- Paid restoration after grace period
If a domain is not renewed within the 28-day priority renewal window, restoring it costs ~996 UAH (no discounts), and restoration is not guaranteed (fee refunded if it cannot be restored).
- Name length 3-63 characters
Domain names must be 3 to 63 characters; shorter names are not allowed.
