- Payment method required
The free allowance lives on a pay-as-you-go account; a verified payment method is needed and overage is billed automatically.
- Scale to zero after 15 minutes
Idle function instances scale to zero after 15 minutes (scale down after 30 seconds), incurring cold starts. Keeping instances warm requires paid provisioned resources (~EUR 1.70 per 100k GB-s).
- Invocation rate cap
Maximum 5,000 invocations per second per function.
- Concurrency of 1 per instance
Each function instance handles a single request at a time; throughput depends on instances scaling out.
- Max 50 instances per function
A function scales to a maximum of 50 simultaneous instances.
- Request timeout 60 minutes
HTTP request duration ranges from 10 seconds to a maximum of 60 minutes; longer tasks require Serverless Jobs.
- Payload size 6 MiB
Maximum request payload size is 6 MiB.
- Code/zip size limits
Max zip size 100 MiB, max code size 500 MiB per function; 1024 MiB ephemeral temporary disk per instance.
- Blocked SMTP ports
Outbound traffic on ports 25 and 465 is blocked (except via Scaleway Transactional Email); no dedicated IPs; only HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 supported; no versioning/rollback.
- Account-wide function limits
Max 1,000 functions and 600 GiB total function memory per organization, 100 namespaces per project (lower before account verification).
